Darksoul Announced in wave 2 tins??

Well there is some speculation going on in the world of Pojo about the Wave 2 collector tins that are coming out in Novmember. The tins feature a reprint of 4 cards as promos, and the fifth promo being the cover of the tin. Jeff Jones got a hold of them early and this is what we have found.

http://i52.tinypic.com/mlnldw.jpg

From thi, what we know is XX-Saber Darksoul will be coming out in the tins as a promo, but in which tin we do not know. We also know the new text of dark according to this picture.

http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/danfatburn/?action=view&current=Darksould-PS-fail.png

So according to the new text, XX-Saber Darksoul must remain in the graveyard until the effect resolves at the end phase, and you will only add one X-Saber monster to your hand, meaning that you will no longer be able to "stack" the searchs.

I am interested in hearing everyones comments about it and what people think so leave your comments here. Thanks for reading, stay sharp and Crushoot for game :)

Dark World Deck Profile

As we all know Dark world monsters are making a come back. There is a lot of  hype surrounding the deck and my attempt here today is going to be to try and explain why the hype is there and weather or not Dark Worlds will be another popular deck. Lets begin with this:

Dark World:
For those of you who don't know, Dark Worlds are an archetype centered around discarding by a card effect. While to most people that would sound like cards with discard costs would be amazing, neutralizing the -1 to activate cards like Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, or Raigeki Break. This is a no-no. Discarding for the cost of an effect and discarding for an effect are two separate things. The difference between the two lies in the wording of a card.

Eg: Card A says "Discard one card from your hand. Draw one card from your Deck.
In this example, You discard one card first (Cost) then draw one card (effect)  lets try another one.

Eg: Card B says "Draw one card. Then Discard one card from your hand."
In this example we have a draw one card(Cost) discard one card (effect). Cards like these you would use to set off the effects of a Dark World monster. Now that you know who they are lets see if they are good.

Grapha, Dragon Lord of Darkworld
This is the new big bad boss monster. He is a plus one in card advantage every turn and when discarded by a card effect nets another plus one taking a card to the grave with it. 2700 attack means even if your looking down other boss monsters, he has enough attack to run over most, if not all with the field spell.

Snoww, Unlight of Dark World
This is the consistency that this new deck recieves. Searches any "card" with Dark World in its name. Remember "Infernity Archfiend" being annoying searching out those Infernity Launcer's? Well Dark World doesn't have that kind of power in the form of "Infernity Launcher", but Snoww defiantly packs a punch being able to grab any discard outlet or monster.

Broww, Huntsman of Dark World

The drawing engine that lets you get to those discard outlets and is level three so he can be grabbed by "
Tour Guide from the Under World"
another member that I will get to in a bit. This is an old ally of Dark World and will add to the power Dark World will release.

Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World
Sillva, Warlord of Dark World
I review these to together for the sake of time. They are the same two cards just slightly different effects. They allow for rank 5 Xyz summons, and special summon themselves when discarded to maintain field presence.

Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World
For the fact he is another monster you can normal summon, used with Fabled Raven for a Dark Highlander. and special summons himself he gets a mention in here.

Dark World Dealings
Drawing and discarding??? What's not to love?? This card allows for instant discard on the spot. Amazing for the deck.

Gate of the Dark World
Themed field spell that sets up Goldd or Sillva to be 2600 beaters ready for a Deck Devistation Virus or Eradicator Epidemic Virus. Searchable Via Snoww and also sets up any play you can wish for.

Allies of Dark World:
Tour Guide From The Underworld
Fabled Raven
Morhping Jar
These cards allow for Broww, Huntsman of Dark World to come out quick, discard a bunch of cards quick and allow a hand reset getting you more advantage. They are used together so you can grab a bunch of cards then overwhelm your opponent.

With all of these cards, yes Dark worlds will be a force to be reckoned with. The hype surrounding them is deserved and lethal. get ready for the World to be covered in darkness. Thanks for reading Stay Sharp and Crushoot for game ;)

Team Crushoots Tier Predictions

Well after a long a intense YCS the results are in. Judging by the Success of agents and plants, this is the list we feel will be, as of now, the most accurate tier list we will be looking at for the format before Photon Shockwave.

Tier 1
Tengu Plants
Agents
Gadget Xyz
Lightsworn/Twilight

Tier 2
Scraps
D.D. Removal
Monarchs
Chaos Variants
Junk Dopple
Six Samurais(I am wanting to put these guys up in Tier 1, but they cannot compete with decks that drop 3-4 boss monsters)
 Infernitys
Gladiator Beasts (these beasts will fluctuate for a while between Tiers)
Anti Meta Dragons

We feel these are the most accurate reflections for the YCS and how the tiers will stand until Rescue Rabbit and pals join us and Shooting Quisar Dragon. After, the tiers will shuffle again and new predictions will be made.

YCS Toronto Recap

Hello everyone it's Emissary-Of-Gorz and here is a recap of what was big at the latest YCS, Toronto. As anyone would have guessed, the biggest decks there were bound to be anything with Tour Guide from the Under World and Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, Agents, and anything Reborn Tengu. Well surprisingly, Agents were not as successful as everyone thought that they were going to be. That may because of the "surprise tech" that some people used. We will get to that in a moment. Gravekeepers seem to be down about Heavy Storm coming back to the games, but they are by no means out. I seen many Agent, Plant, and Tengu decks get wins ripped from them by first turn Royal Tributes and Necrovally still being a hurdle that many decks just cannot overcome.

The decks that were surprising, for me to see at least were Gadgets, Gravekeepers and T.G. I seen more than a few of these and it really showed that the diversity is still there without everything being Chaos ____. It was a real battle between Agents and Plants as the top decks everywhere I looked on day 2 and finally Plants reigned supreme. Good to see that ban list did not "kill" the plants that everyone loves to play. Of course it all came down to the side decks that everyone from Dale Bellido, to Justin Delhon, Jeff Jones, and Billy Brake all chose to customize with cards we haven't given much thought to.

Some of the Tech cards i seen at the YCS were
Leeching The Light:

Now when everyone was telling this card was good I thought... for what??? It doesn't make any sense... until I seen it used. This card, when staring down an Archlord Kristya, makes all your monsters gain 2800 attack to hit over it. Something that could be done by using other means too of course, but Agents dont always have that Kristya do they? Well when staring down a Master Hyperion, Leeching the light will give all your monsters 2700 Attack! That means in an Agent mirror match, it makes it risky to summon your boss monsters because even Black Luster Soldier is Light! Agent of Creation - Venus makes a field of four monsters all 3200 attack and can hit for game in one big swing... This card will see more play if Agents get bigger.

Thunder King Rai Oh
This card has always seen play from anti meta, so outplaying X-Sabers, but this format, this YCS, i seen this card in EVERY deck. Either main or side decked,  this card by far exploded in usage. The reason? It is flawless... Light for your own Black Luster Solider, it prevents Agents, Sabers, Gadgets, T.G., Infernitys, Karakurais, and almost every deck dead in their tracks. No searching means the decks lose the consistency factor and they lose the swarming ability.  Thunder King Rai Oh just literally picks apart the decks it faces. And to top it off, It stops the big bad boss monsters every deck has been incorporating. This card will see play over and over again.

Compulsory Evacuation Device:
This card was my personal tech and everyone and they're mother were packing this card around. A very chainible, versatile, and inherent Minus One in card advantage. This card was beautiful to blow away those Gachi Gachi Gentetsu that every agent player was ripping on turn one, and to see the face of the agent player running the Agent of creation - Venus into my Thunder king Rai Oh and me using Compulsary on Gachi Gachi was just too good. This card also won me my games against the Gladiator beast deck i played. "A Hero Lives" Into "Elemental HERO Prisma", Sends "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" to grave, special summon "Test Tiger" and tribute on priority, chain Compulsory. Bouncing the prisma was just gorgeous, netting me a Plus One in Card Advantage, half of my opponents LP, and leaving him unable to get the Bestiari he needed to come back. I feel this card is much better than Solemn Warning this format because there is just too much to try and stop, the 2000 LP cost will almost always hurt you in the end...

Those are the big ones I wanted to share with everybody. Feel Free to comment or critic.
